Chinese New Year Charity dinner

The Society of Hope Sabah hosted a Chinese New Year Charity dinner on 03 February 2023 to celebrate our milestone achievement in attaining a national record from the Malaysia Book of Records for distributing the most number of stationery sets to children from the B40 communities in Sabah. The event was graced by the Chief Minister of Sabah Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji bin Haji Noor as well as the founder of the Society of Hope Sabah, Datuk Christina Liew, the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment. We were pleased to be joined by many members of the community we work with as well as community leaders.

JOM BALIK SEKOLAH

The “Jom Balik Sekolah” program was launched in January 2022 by the Society of Hope Sabah. Our mission was to distribute 10,000 stationery sets to children from the B40 communities in Sabah in order to support their educational needs. Our journey took us to 80 different schools and multiple districts across the state and helped us to attain a national record from the Malaysia Book of Records. We are grateful for the support we have had along the way and we look forward to empowering vulnerable communities in the coming years ahead.

“Project Hope Milk Fund”

This Christmas, the Society of Hope Sabah went on a special mission; to raise RM50,000 in donations to buy powdered milk for children between 1-3 years of age from families deeply impacted by COVID-19.

To date we have supplied 3000 packets of milk powder to children all over Sabah. And we hope to continue doing so.

This is only possible through the generosity of our donors and the passion of our volunteers. Truly you represent all that is great in our beautiful state; your greatness lies not in what you have, but in what you give.
